This is what I wore to classes on Friday. My husband said I looked like a Brady. It's not that I haven't worn clothes since Friday, but that they haven't been particularly interesting, save what I wore out Friday night (which was interesting) but failed to photograph due to the fact that I decided to polish off the bag of baking soda and lidocaine that I misguidedly purchased last week during my Saturday of dubious decisions. So I was far more interested in chain smoking and grinding my teeth than in getting my photo taken.
Since Friday I've been basically wearing variations on my pajamas and working on my short story that's due Wednesday, hence my absence. I am determined to make this one not an embarrassing laundry list of declarative statements, like the last six pages of my previous story were. I also I wish I could get away from writing about my "dangerous liaisons" of the past, but I always end up writing sexy time stories, which annoys me. Of course, I've done a lot less writing of said short story and a lot more reading blogs and downloading music than I meant to. I decided to see what all the fuss is about the entire remix economy that is happening amongst bands/ DJ's as of late so I now have a lot of Justice, Feist, PNAU, Crystal Castles, and various other bands that I hadn't taken the time to listen to until now. Honestly, I don't know how I feel about this whole perpetual coke head dance party music thing. I'm feeling Feist, and I also belatedly downloaded Bat for Lashes (which is not coke head dance party music) at long last and while I like it, it's a little, um, feminine for my taste sometimes. In conclusion, a day of downloading music left me with little that actually excited me. It just made me want to stay far, far away from New York. I'm ready for the post-DJ scene. Plskthx.
That said, as any good blogger would (just kidding), I have been self-flagellating due to my absence. I have a lot of work this week and a heaping dose of stress in my personal life, so I took a mini blogcation. And now I have bloxiety. So I probably won't have a proper new post until tomorrow because today is devoted to writing, cleaning my house, and cooking my lovely husband dinner because I never do anything nice like that anymore. Modern lady. Busy world. I promise I won't abandon you all for much longer!

I like the shoes and the yellow cardigan a lot.
Baking soda and lidocaine. Hmm, I wonder what that's for...
I love this color combination! Lovely sweater and completely AMAZING scarf.
Blech, lidocaine? Is that supposed to be like coke without the guilt? I much prefer the feeling of full-blown degeneracy with my teeth-gnashing, thank you very much.
As it turns out, I've been living in your yellow sweater's greener, longer cousin for the past two days. With a very rumpled (by now..) plaid romper and navy tights. Ugh, I have to leave the house at some point.
I love those shoes, and all the colours here too!
the yellow cardigan is nic, the colour is nice! I like your glasses!
I adore all of the colors you combined. Here the weather is still warm, so I am forgetting it is autumn back home, but you have reminded me!
love the way the colors are put together. and, gorgeous shoes!
Oh gorgeous colors, girl! Your outfit looks amazing!
And "blogcation", "bloxiety" you need to start a new Blogcabulary Dictionary! :D

I like all the colours :)
This colour combination is great.
Would you like to trade links?
There is definitely the unapproachable factor with dressing too--I worry people will find me prissy/snobbish/etc, but hopefully anyone who gets to know me will know better. :)
P.S. I manage to keep the blog up to date by scheduling several posts in one day--like three days in advance...
ahhh missing you.
i hope all is well.
you're forever stylish + inspiring.
x.
